Tjeka learners hit the ground running
13 individuals who attended our general concrete works and road-stud installation courses have hit the ground running as part of Roadmac Surfacing’s team that is upgrading the N14 between Kuruman and Olifantsfontein in the Northern Cape.
We showed them how to execute concrete works correctly, as well as in a cost-effective and safe manner. Having completed both quality theoretical and practical training, they now know how to correctly mix, handle, place and finish concrete.
They are just as proficient in the installation of road studs, having also had ample opportunity to apply the wealth of theoretical knowledge that they gained on a section of the road as part of their practical training. This included correctly positioning the studs and drilling holes in the road surface and blow cleaning them, before placing the mixed epoxy and studs inside. The candidates were then shown how to clean the studs and surrounding areas, with safety also always on top of mind.
