QCTO-accredited apprenticeships and skills programmes

Our Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO)-accredited apprenticeships and skills programmes lead to a national qualification.

This unit-standard-based training consists of between 30% and 70% theory, as well as a minimum of 30% and a maximum of 70% workplace learning. Tjeka’s skilled and experienced site managers/mentors and coaches provide the necessary support for the job-learning component of the learnership.

In addition to provision of learner training and assessment material, Tjeka undertakes the following:

  • Registers skills programmes on behalf of clients
  • Prepares portfolios for Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA)-certification audits
  • Obtains results from CETA and records competencies on its database
  • Maintains on-site training records
  • Plans, schedules and manages on-site assessments
  • Develops individual progress reports and action plans
