Civils road construction constructor
Our civil road construction constructor occupational skills programme equips construction teams with critical skills. This enables road construction companies to take full advantage of government spending on routine road maintenance and upgrades.
The South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL) spent more than R4-billion on toll roads in the 2023/2024 financial year. This is in addition to the R23-billion invested in non-toll roads during the same period. Of the R23-billion spent on non-toll roads, a notable R12,3-billion went towards capital projects. The balance was spent on maintenance, which remains the “bread and butter” of the local road construction industry
Holders of this qualification have the skills needed to help complete road construction projects efficiently, safely and to the required standards. This also enhances the durability and reliability of this infrastructure, which keeps our economy moving.
