General residential repairer NQF2
A holder of this NQF2 qualification via Tjeka has the skills needed to function as a qualified general residential repairer.
There has been a notable revival in the home extensions and improvement industry. Many homeowners are unable to afford to buy a bigger or better home. Therefore, they opt for a smaller bond or use their existing access bond to upgrade their current home.
This is sound thinking because such improvements add more value than the initial outlay. However, this is only the case if the work has been undertaken by a professional.
To register for this QCTO (QCTO Home of skills assurance) qualification, candidates must have attained an NQF1 education.
Access to the qualification can also be achieved through the recognition-of-prior learning (RPL) process. This will be conducted by Tjeka. Learners who have already acquired competencies of modules will be exempted from these.
