Our portable carpentry skills training imparts the basic carpentry skills that individuals need to access the building industry. These are also the foundations upon which further skills can be developed to become a professional carpenter.
This is a competency that is needed to manufacture and erect roof trusses; install home ceilings, cornices, skirtings and doors. Worryingly, there is a dire shortage of qualified carpenters in the country. Therefore, it is critical to provide greater access to the profession through quality skills training. This course does exactly that.
Portable carpentry skills
Our portable skills training course teaches the following basic carpentry skills:
- An ability to install carpentry finishing components
- An ability to identify and use tools, materials and protective equipment
- An ability to prepare work areas
- An ability to install finishing components
- An ability to prepare components for finishing applications and undertake surface touch ups
