Our portable plumbing skills training course imparts basic plumbing skills. Holders of this qualification are able to work alongside more skilled plumbers to gain experience working in the field. The knowledge gained also forms the basis for further study in the field.
Currently, more than 120 000 South Africans operate as plumbers. However, only 16 000 of these are qualified to provide professional plumbing services. Thus, there is a need to attract more people to the profession and ensure that they qualify. Our portable plumbing skills training is a response to this demand by providing an entry point to the industry.
Portable plumbing skills
Our portable plumbing training imparts the following skills:
- An ability to install and maintain basic plumbing components alone
- An ability to install and maintain water supply systems under supervision
- An ability to install and maintain below-ground drainage systems
- An ability to install and maintain above-ground drainage components and sanitary fittings under supervision
- An ability to understand and describe basic plumbing principles
