Building short course knowledge
Our building short course imparts the following knowledge, among others:
- An understanding of building tools and materials and their correct use
- An understanding of the importance of personal protective equipment and its correct use
- An ability to ensure that structures are plumb, line and level. This is in addition to ensuring that they are well supported and marked according to instruction and pre-determined heights.
- An ability to position damp-proof course and build walls to plumb, line and level
- An ability to apply jointing to walls
- An ability to clean brickwork and the work area
